What’s The Buzz ?

The Hive supports youth to discover their personal career pathway through workplace tours, workshops, internships, employment, and post-high school planning. 

The Hive provides personalized Navigation to coordinate academic support, skill development, job placement, and career planning and is an all-access pass to carving paths to lifelong success.  All activities are free and transportation is included.

Eligible students live in Monroe County.

Hive For Community & Employer Partners

The Hive is an innovative, community-wide initiative preparing 15,000 Rochester youth for career success. Participating teens are prepared for employment in an array of fields with year-round training and skill development. Youth are ages 8-18 from: EnCompass, Black Men Achieve, Boys and Girls Club, The Center For Teen Empowerment, HOPE585, and across Monroe County. 

The Hive Youth Workforce Consortium is supported by federal award SLFRP0206 awarded to Monroe County, NY by the US Dept. of Treasury.
